Bach by the Beach – House Rules & Guest Terms

At Bach by the Beach, we’re all about good vibes, beach breezes, and a relaxing stay. To help keep the peace (and the neighbours happy), please read through the following house rules and stay guidelines.

 

 

1. General Behaviour & Noise

• Excessive drinking is not permitted. You’re welcome to enjoy a few drinks, but please keep it chill — no disruptive or rowdy behaviour.

• Noise levels must be kept to a minimum, especially after 9:30 PM.

• No loud music, shouting, or gatherings that disturb neighbours.

• No parties or events allowed without written permission.

• Respect the neighbours — sound carries easily here.

 

 

2. Smoking & Alcohol

• No smoking inside the house under any circumstances. Ashtrays are provided outside.

• No drinking in cars parked outside the property — it creates unnecessary attention and breaches community trust.

 

 

3. Pets

• Dogs are allowed with prior approval only.

• There is a $40 per night pet fee.

• Please clean up after your pet and keep them off the furniture.

• Pets must not be left unattended at the property.

 

 

4. Visitors & Parking

• Only registered guests are allowed to stay overnight.

• If you’re expecting visitors, please let us know.

• Guest parking is limited to the two designated spots directly in front of the property.

• Additional guests should park on Grove Avenue — do not park in the neighbour’s driveway.

 

 

5. Equipment Use (Surfboards, Bikes, Longboard)

• Use with care and at your own risk.

• Return gear to the storage area after use.

• Guests are responsible for any significant damage or loss.

• Helmets are recommended.

• Children must be supervised.

• Equipment is for guest use only — do not lend it to others.

 

 

6. BBQ & Gas Use

• Use BBQ outdoors only, in a safe, ventilated space.

• Check gas connections for leaks using soapy water.

• Always open the lid before turning on gas.

• Turn off gas at the bottle after every use.

• Clean the BBQ after each use to avoid fire hazards or extra cleaning fees.

 

 

7. Housekeeping & Appliances

• Instruction manuals for appliances (gas hob, BBQ, juicer, etc.) are in the top kitchen drawer.

• If unsure how to use something, give us a bell — we’d rather help than fix.

 

 

8. Check-in / Check-out

• Check-in: After 2:00 PM

• Check-out: By 10:00 AM
  Let us know if you need a little flexibility — we’ll do our best to accommodate.

 

 

9. Damage, Breakages & Bond

• Please report any damage immediately, even if minor.

• A bond may be held or requested to cover major damage, loss, or extra cleaning if the property is left in poor condition.

• Any missing items, broken furniture, or damage beyond normal use may be charged to the booking.

 

 

10. Cancellation & Refunds

• If your plans change, let us know ASAP.

• We’ll try to work with you within reason, but cancellations within 7 days of arrival may be non-refundable, depending on the circumstances.

 

 

Disclaimer: Guest Agreement to Terms

By confirming your booking and/or staying at Bach by the Beach, you acknowledge that you have been referred to these Terms & Conditions and agree to be legally bound by them. If this link was shared with you (via Airbnb, direct message, or email), your acceptance of the booking constitutes your agreement to follow all house rules and guest conditions listed on this page.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in immediate termination of your stay, additional charges, or withholding of any bond or security deposit.

If you have any questions or concerns about these terms, please raise them before your stay begins.

 

 

Please Take note:

• For your convenience, all instruction manuals for the appliances at Our Beach Bach will be placed in an envelope located in the top drawer of the kitchen. This includes manuals for the gas hob, BBQ, juicer, and any other appliances provided, ensuring you have everything you need to use them safely and efficiently during your stay. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us. 

• Parking: There are two parking spaces located directly in front of, ensuring convenient access to the property during your stay. If additional parking is required for guests, please have them park on Grove Avenue as the driveway next door is off-limits. This helps maintain smooth and respectful relations with our neighbours.
